Frequently asked questions

\n
\n\n
\n How does the SRP2 brake compare to a standard potentiometer pedal?+\n

A potentiometer pedal measures angular position only — how far you push the pedal. The SRP2 measures both position and force simultaneously via sensor fusion. This means you can trail-brake with much finer control, and the feel closely mirrors a real car where pedal resistance builds non-linearly. The upgrade from a standard pedal set to a load cell pedal is typically the single biggest improvement a sim racer can make to their lap times.

\n
\n\n
\n Do the SRP2 pedals work with non-MOZA equipment?+\n

Yes — the SRP2 connects via USB and is fully compatible with all major sim racing brands including Simagic, Fanatec, and Thrustmaster wheel bases. You do not need a MOZA wheel base to use these pedals. They work on PC and Xbox.

\n
\n\n
\n Do I need to mount them to a cockpit?+\n

No — the SRP2 can be placed on the floor with the included anti-slip pads, mounted to a cockpit or rig via the standard mounting holes, or secured with the optional Rear Support Bracket for added stability under heavy braking. Most cockpit mounting profiles are compatible.

\n
\n\n
\n Can I add a clutch pedal later?+\n

Yes — the MOZA SRP2 Clutch Pedal is sold separately and attaches directly to the existing pedal set. It uses the same 2-step preload adjustment system. This lets you start with a dual-pedal setup and upgrade to a triple-pedal configuration when you're ready. Looking for the flagship option? See the MOZA CRP2.

\n
\n\n
\n What is the Performance Kit and do I need it?+\n

The optional Brake Performance Kit adds a wider range of elastomer and spring combinations, expanding the SRP2 from 25 to 1,000+ brake feel configurations. It also enables an F1/LMP1-style ultra-firm, ultra-responsive brake feel. The standard pedal set covers most sim racers well — the Performance Kit is for drivers who want to replicate a very specific real-world brake feel or prefer an extremely progressive pedal.

\n
\n\n
\n How do I set up the SRP2 for iRacing or Assetto Corsa Competizione?+\n

Plug the SRP2 in via USB and it will be detected automatically as a standard HID device. In iRacing, go to Options > Controls and calibrate the brake axis — most drivers start with a linear curve and adjust in Pit House once they've driven a few laps. In Assetto Corsa Competizione, assign the brake axis under Settings > Controls and set your brake pressure threshold. The SRP2 also works out of the box in Gran Turismo 7, rFactor 2, Le Mans Ultimate, Automobilista 2, and Dirt Rally 2.0. MOZA Pit House lets you fine-tune the curve shape independently of the sim settings for the most consistent feel across all titles.

\n
\n\n
\n What is the difference between the MOZA SRP2 and the MOZA SR-P (SRP1)?+\n

Both pedal sets use a 100KG load cell combined with a 15-bit angle sensor and MOZA's sensor fusion system — so the core sensing technology is the same. The differences are in the brake mechanics, adjustability, and build. The SR-P uses a single spring and damping block for brake resistance, which gives a predictable but limited feel. The SRP2 replaces this with a stacked elastomer cylinder system that delivers 25 distinct brake feel configurations out of the box, and 1,000+ with the optional Performance Kit. The throttle and clutch on the SRP2 also gain 2-step preload adjustment that the SR-P lacks, and the overall unit is heavier and more planted. If you find the SR-P brake feel too vague or want meaningful adjustability without modding, the SRP2 is a worthwhile step up.

\n
\n\n
\n How do the MOZA SRP2 pedals compare to the MOZA CRP2 pedals?+\n

Both are load cell pedals and both use the same elastomer stack approach — including the same optional Performance Kit for expanded brake feel configurations. The CRP2 steps up in three main areas: it uses a 200KG load cell (double the SRP2's 100KG), the pedal body is fully CNC aerospace aluminium rather than steel, and it supports inverted mounting for cockpit setups that benefit from a heel-up pedal position. For most sim racers, the SRP2 delivers the load cell experience they are looking for at a significantly lower price point. The CRP2 is worth the premium if you are building a high-end cockpit, want inverted mounting, or simply want MOZA's flagship pedal hardware. View the MOZA CRP2 Pedals at Player1 Sim Gear.

\n
\n\n
\n Is the SRP2 covered by warranty in Australia?+\n

Yes — the MOZA SRP2 is backed by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. As an authorised Australian MOZA distributor, Player1 Sim Gear handles all warranty claims locally — no international returns required. Call us on 0488 385 870 or send us a message if you have any issues.

How do the MOZA SRP2 pedals compare to the MOZA CRP2 pedals?+
